The one rule that is a must...have fun!  I definitely had fun creating these one-of-a-kind earrings.  I began by cutting random shapes of sterling silver.  I applied texture to some, arranged the pieces in a random order and fused them to a sterling backplate.  I patinated and polished and, as they say, "VOILA."  the textures, layers, and patina add interest, dimension and depth to these very special earrings.  They are approximately 1 1/2" long and 1/3" wide.  The ear wires are also sterling and I made then 2" long to balance things out.
